As part of our service to you, we would like to briefly explain our policy. We shall try to advise you as to the expected number of appointments necessary, the time needed for each appointment and what you may expect from the treatment.
It is understood that endodontic treatment is a procedure to retain a tooth which may otherwise require extraction. Although this treatment has a very high degree of clinical success, it is still a biological procedure so it cannot be guaranteed. Occasionally a tooth which has had endodontic treatment may require retreatment, surgery or even extraction.
APPOINTMENTS: Many times our patients,
perhaps you, are brought to our office
without the usual one or two week wait because in our opinion and in the opinion of your
dentist it was important to see you immediately. To accomplish this, we brought you
to the office as a "special scheduled" patient.
As a "special scheduled" patient, we will be pleased to care for you as
soon as we can without disappointing regularly scheduled patients. We cannot predict
how many special emergencies will occur in one day.
The wait is usually not too long, and in any event, if you arrive in the morning, you will
be treated before we leave for lunch, or if you arrive in the afternoon, you will be
treated before we leave for the evening.
Due to the peculiar nature of root canal therapy necessitating seeing emergency cases,
your appointment is made for an approximate time. We will make every effort to see
you promptly.
Some days we are like the emergency room of a "Tooth Hospital".
DUE TO THE NATURE OF OUR PRACTICE,
WE GIVE OUR PATIENTS THE UTMOST IN CARE AND PERSONAL SERVICE.
PLEASE EXCUSE OUR DELAY.
WE WILL GIVE YOU THE SAME CAREFUL ATTENTION AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!
Thank you for understanding.
PAYMENT: Because of the nature of referral work, we must respectfully request that all patient balances be paid prior to completion of treatment.
For your convenience, we offer these methods of payment cash, check and bankcard (Visa-MasterCard-Discover-AMEX).
TRADITIONAL DENTAL INSURANCE: We
will submit your insurance claim for you. However, we do not know what your insurance
company considers to be "Reasonable and Customary" for your plan, as this is an
agreement between your employer and the insurance company. We will call your
insurance company to verify your coverage, annual maximum and amount of benefits remaining
and your co-payment percentage.
When your initial visit is over we will advise you of your total charges based on
treatment provided.
We will then estimate your portion due based on the total amount of charges and your
co-pay percentage, using EndoVision, our
endodontic office management software.
Again, we do not know what your insurance company will consider "Reasonable and Customary", as this is an agreement between your employer and the insurance company, so it is possible they will reduce our fee and pay their percentage based on your plan. You are responsible for any difference and may receive a billing after we receive your insurance payment.
